[PC Game] Eastward

Eastward is an indie action-adventure role-playing video game developed by Pixpil and published by Chucklefish. It was released on September 16, 2021, for the Nintendo Switch, MacOS and Microsoft Windows.

The game play can best be described as a 90’s retro adventure RPG game. John and Sam have the ability to be switched out with light puzzles throughout the game that are friendly for all players. There are multiple upgrades throughout the game, and additional content that can be gathered by other NPCs that is hidden. The game uses a timing based mechanic where enemies have certain move sets that the player will be able to avoid and or attack. The game play is in a linear cinematic style reminiscent of Breath of the Wild, Undertale, and SNES classics. Within the game itself, John and Sam will fight against multiple monsters, and bosses. There are many different recipes that can be completed within the game.

There is also a turn based game within Eastward called Earth born which is a different game in its own right, which can only be played until chapter 7
